1. What are the disadvantages of DC charging?

DC fast charging has the following main disadvantages:
Long-term use will accelerate battery aging and affect battery life
Charging equipment and operating costs are higher, and charging fees are more expensive

2. How long does it take to fully charge a 40kWh battery?

Charging time mainly depends on the charging power:
Using a 40kW charging pile: from 0% to 100% takes about 60 minutes, from 20% to 80% takes about 30 minutes
Using a 120kW charging pile: from 0% to 100% takes about 20 minutes, from 20% to 80% takes about 15 minutes
The actual charging time may be slightly longer due to factors such as battery temperature and battery management system limitations.

3. Why is it recommended to charge only up to 80%?

The main reason for recommending daily charging up to 80% is:
Battery protection: high electricity state (above 80%) will accelerate battery aging
Time efficiency: the charging speed decreases significantly after 80%, and the time required to fully charge increases significantly
Energy efficiency: fast charging turns to trickle charging after 80%, and the energy conversion efficiency decreases
